Programme Note
Per Nørgård L’ENFANT ET L’AUBE( 1987-88) - for soprano, tenor, flute, cklarinet, percussion, piano and cello.
The work was composed 1987-88, a commission from Radio France, and the premiere took place in June 1988 with Ensemble L’Itineraire conducted buy Guy Reibel. The work uses texts from two French poems of Arthur Rimbaud "Chanson de la plus haute Tour" and "Aube".
The work is dedicated to the Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen.
