Programme Note

alt i én bevægelse,
Peter Bruun.

Reviews

  • “We heard the most transparent overall sound in the world premiere of Peter Bruun’s orchestral work Månevand skinner (Moonwater shining). It is true, as can be read in the material, that Bruun is his own man, neither particularly modernist nor particularly traditional. He has exploited the Romantic orchestral sound well in his tripartite work, which is based on Bruun’s own lines: “Moonwater shining – all in one movement – watermoon waving.” This is not depicted directly in the music, but the lines form the work with its calmer, almost exotically effective outer movements with interesting melodic-harmonic effects around the long middle movement where “all is in one movement.”
